Organic beef and lamb are keenly sought after, with a useful premium to be had for the right article. This week we had kill of OTM cattle and we had problems with the paperwork on most of the lots. The message is clear: if you are not unsure what paperwork you have to send, please give us a call. Problems are easier sorted prior to slaughter than after.

Both Organic beef and lamb are meeting keen competition from processors at this time, with Organic beef at 380p/kg and Organic lamb at 490p/kg. Yet again they have shown rises on the year in line with conventional cattle and sheep. This trend looks to continue as the organic demand outstrips supply.
